Oh my cod!

Cape Cod was our last (but not least) stop before we went back to Pleasanton! 😭😢🥺 This is going to be another mini post, even though we were here for over two weeks.

We did a lot of things, including biking to Woods Hole, kayaking, going to the beach a million times, and eating ice cream. Our grandparents have two boats, so we went to Washburn Island, our favorite beach, and fished a lot.

When we’re in Cape Cod, we also like to do a special project every year, and this year we decided to do decoupage shells and make shell wreaths. Decoupage is where you take cute napkins (my grandma has a collection), and you put a layer of Mod Podge, then a layer of napkin, and then another layer of Mod Podge, and finally outline it with a gold leaf pen! It looks really pretty. Mia and I gave it to all of our closest friends, and my mom gave some to our cousins (like Emmy and Saylor).

Thats pretty much all! BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB😭YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY😢EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE🥺!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!✌️

P.S. Look at my ice cream reviews!

Penny + Mia 4ever

This is the aquarium where we housed sea animals for two years in a row. This year, it had baby flukes, a baby sea robin, a conch shell sea snail, hermit crabs, mummychogs, a pipefish, baby shrimp, and more!

Searching for creatures to go in the aquarium

The conch snail guy on the trip from Washburn to the aquarium

A jellyfish! Extremly satisfing to touch - ON THE TOP ONLY!! (otherwise you might get stung)

A spider crab (don’t worry, they don’t pinch!)

Driving a boat! Technically only Tom and Maggie are allowed to drive, but Mia and I still do!

If you look closely, you can see the fish that Mia is reeling up!

Our water thingies: a paddleboard, kayaks and the yellow thingie is a mat that you can like play on and attempt to do cartwheels on!

Sushi night, with the fish we caught!

Mia and Tom played a lot of soccer, but the ball kept falling into the water, so they had the crab net at the ready every single time they played.

My mom and I kayaking back to the house and racing the whaler (we lost, badly)

Cape Cod Ice Cream Ratings

Polar Cave

Ice cream: 3 1/2

Setting: 3

Ambiance: 3 2/3

Notes: I don’t know why, but we called the store once this summer, and the guy’s answering message went on forever. And, just so you know, if you are in the cape until decem-bah, and you won’t take any vacay-shuns, then he’s hiring!

Kool Beans (ice cream boat)

Ice cream: 3 1/2

Setting: 5

Ambiance: 4 11/13

Notes: We make sure that the whaler is prepared with a pool noodle every time we go to washburn so we can wave him down.

Smitty’s

Ice cream: 2 7/8

Setting: 5

Ambiance:5

Notes: If you go, I suggest that you DO NOT get Purple Cow, Shark’s Tooth, and anything elso with white chocolate chips. (also, note to people with sophisticated taste of truffle mushrooms, do not do what I did and think that raspberry truffle ice cream has truffle mushrooms in it).

Shipwreck

Ice cream: 4 1/2

Setting: 4 1/3

Ambiance: 5

Notes: We went here after we went to a little place to buy some crabs and lobster.

This is how much we love Kool Beans. I made a model of the ice cream boat that even has a menu and a steering wheel! It also floats and moves in water with its propeller.

Cape cod staaaaaats!
